The self-dampening chimes are strung with high tensile braided cord. Concert Chimes are strung in a manner that allows the bars to move freely back and forth after the initial contact for a more sustaining effect. Perfect for live situations they include a bar chime striker that fits conveniently into a storage slot in the top wooden bar which is made from select hardwood with a satin finish.
